Book of the Dead Exhibition

Book of the Dead of Hunefer. The scene reads from left to right. Anubis brings Hunefer into the judgment area. Hunefer’s heart, represented as a pot, is being weighted against a feather, the symbol of Maat - the “truth”. The monster Ammit, the “devourer” is shown next to the scales. Having passed the test, Horus leads Hounefer into the presence of Osiris.
