Remembering “Zetetic Scholar”

Established in 1978, the Zetetic Scholar was an attempt to enhance communication between critics and proponents of claims of the paranormal, and also to explore the sociology and psychology of the debates themselves. The journal was edited and published by the late Marcello Truzzi of the Eastern Michigan University.

UMMO Affair

UMMO-Ciencias is a webpage (mostly in Spanish) dedicated to the infamous UMMO case. One can find here plentiful information, including the letters (some accessible to translations in French and Italian). The whole affair is believed to be the work of José Luis Jordán Peña, who himself confessed to be the “father” of  the most enduring Spanish UFO myth.

Egyptian Magic Exhibition


Magic wand, Late Period (712 – 332 B.C.) – Louvre.

Exhibition of Egyptian Magic at the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden (Holland). The objects in the exhibition come from Holland, Louvre, the British Museum and the Allard Museum. On display are amulets, scarabs, magical images and spells written on papyrus, wands and pictures of deities.
The exhibition will open on October 16, 2010 and run until March 13, 2011.
